Experiencia fantástica: I did the “Aconcagua Horcones Hiking Day Tour” with guide Matías N. Everything was perfect, from the on-time pickup at my lodgings (Casa Reconquista) in Mendoza city, to the trip out to the mountain, the hike itself, and the return to the city. We made welcome rest stops both coming and going. On the way out, I had an espresso drink (!) and food, and on the way back, I chose hot cocoa. Mid-way through the hike, we stopped for an excellent lunch that Matías himself had prepared. I am a picky vegetarian – I can’t eat cheese, tomatoes, etc. --- and yet I had no trouble finding food at the rest stops, and Matías’s lunch was perfect for me. I add this b/c if I managed with my food pickiness, you should be fine. Guide Matías himself is kind, knowledgeable, warm, genuine, and good-humored. This hike was the highlight of my trip to Mendoza. I would absolutely hike with Andes Vertical again, in a heartbeat. Thank you Matías!

He was a fantastic, well-prepared guide who made me feel safe throughout the trek, even on challenging rocky terrain at high altitude. Experiencia fantástica: Our one day rock climbing trip from Mendoza in Potrerillos with Bernardo was sensational! We do have prior experience climbing a belaying, but this trip would be good for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Bernardo was super knowledgeable, helpful, well equipped and kind. He found us routes to climb that were perfect for our abilities, and was ready with helpful tips when we were challenged. The weather was not optimal, so we moved around a bit to find climbing spots sheltered from the rain and Bernardo was so familiar with the area that he was able to find us the perfect spots to climb. The communication with the company via WhatsApp was easy and front door pick-up and drop-off was pretty great as well! We would totally climb with Andes Vertical again! Thank you for a fun day.

Experiencia fantástica: We booked a 3 day trek to an Uruguayan flight 571 crash site. Starting from Mendoza, 3 days is a minimum - you start very early (4:30am) on the first day, and are back on the day 3 in the late afternoon. Two nights are spent in the high camp. Organization was flawless, and our guide Fabian did an excellent job. We enjoyed great asado together after returning to the camp on day 2. One of the best things was crossing the rivers on the horseback - we never did this before. Weather in early March was great, as can bee seen on the photos attached. Overall, highly recommended.

Experiencia positiva: Crossing the Andes on horseback was an amazing adventure in dramatic and impressive landscapes. I loved to live and connect to the goucho live. The guide team was great and worked very hard, also being the cooks. It was also minimalistic which was fine with exception of the toilet facilities and the amount of toilet paper around the camping spaces

Experiencia fantástica: Los guías son todos bilingües, las cabañas en Chile son preciosas, durante todo el viaje se disfruta de unas vistas increíbles en cada despertar, cada amanecer es impresionante. Todo el material que se utiliza es de primeras calidades, todo primeras marcas. Por ejemplo, llevan equipo de placas solares para poder cargar dispositivos móviles durante todos los días que dure la aventura. Es un equipo increíble y son super detallistas en cada aspecto del viaje, desde el primer contacto para pedir información antes de la reserva. Hacer el Cruce de los Andes a caballo fue una experiencia inolvidable. Desde Mendoza, nos adentramos en la cordillera en una expedición increíble, con paisajes de montaña impresionantes. La travesía a caballo estuvo perfectamente organizada y nos hizo disfrutar una nueva forma de viajar, una aventura increíble!! Todo gracias al equipazo que lo hace posible. Cruzar los Andes era un sueño para mí, y vivir esta experiencia con Andes Mountain guides lo hizo aún más especial. Desde el primer día, sentí que estaba en las mejores manos. Los guías no solo conocen el terreno a la perfección, sino que también transmiten su pasión por la montaña y te hacen sentir parte del equipo, es como viajar en familia. El recorrido fue increíble: paisajes que dejan sin aliento, noches bajo un cielo lleno de estrellas y esa sensación de realmente estar viviendo una aventura pura que pocas veces se encuentra. Por supuesto, hubo momentos desafiantes, pero siempre tienes el apoyo y la energía del grupo, lo que hace que todo se disfrute de una manera inexplicable. Sin duda alguna repetiría mil veces más pues es algo que recordaré toda la vida, y gran parte de eso es gracias al equipazo que lo hace posible: GRACIAS!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing Expedition in the Cordilleras I had a spectacular hike to (almost) Cerro El Plata as with Andes Vertical and my guide, Matías. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful. On top of that, he’s a great cook who prepared light and tasty meals. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning the night before the tour, and after three days at high altitude, I had to turn back. Matías was very understanding and, once I recovered, he arranged a day hike to Aconcagua National Park. It was an easy but stunning hike with breathtaking views of Aconcagua in the background. I was very happy with both Matías and Andes Vertical, and I definitely plan to book with them again next year! Highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: I did the one day Cordon del Plata trek with Matias and had a brilliant day. Matias was a very friendly, highly qualified and experienced guide, the pace was perfect and the hike was exactly as described. I organised it very last minute and communication was great, I could borrow all of the gear I needed and they also provided food which was so helpful. Also felt very safe and comfortable as a solo female. Highly recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: We had a fabulous trek to Confluencia camp yesterday with our guide Fabio. He was an excellent guide, driver and companion for the day trip. We loved hearing all of his stories about the mountains and his experience guiding trips throughout the Andes. He was punctual, a safe driver (six + hours of driving to get to & from the park) and wonderful guide on the trek. Fabio’s English was excellent and we enjoyed his music in the car too! Hice la travesía de los Andes a caballo y un poquito a pie de 5 noches y 6 días. ¿Que puedo decir de esta experiencia?. Maravillosa de principio a fin. El trabajo del Equipo de Andes Vertical fue para sacarse el sombrero y aplaudir de pie. Gracias a: Los Guías: Luli, Tim y Viví. Gente muy Profesional y con una calidez humana que te sentís muy contenida, en especial si vas sola. Una logística y claridad para resolver todo, eso demuestra lo Profesionales que son. Infinitamente gracias chicos. Una mención especial para el Equipo de los Arrieros: a la cabeza estaban David, Gaby (una MUJER con todas las letras) y Esteban, un pequeño gran gigante de 10 años que la tiene tan clara que su voz se hace respetar. Un futuro prometedor el de este niño. Y el resto de su Equipo, Alejandro, Manuel y Gabriel. El trabajo que hace esta gente es desgastante, no tenemos idea y lo hacen sin protestar. A veces el sol pega y pega fuerte, el frío, la lluvia, la nieve y ellos ahí en esa inmensidad que te quita la respiración. Gracias, gracias y los aplaudo de pie. Este viaje vale cada peso que pagas. Solo tenes que disfrutar, escuchar, mirar y relajar. El resto lo hace este Gran Equipo que formó Federico, la cabeza de Andes Vertical. Federico, un consejo. Seguí con esta gente que no te va a desfrutar. La última noche estuvimos en una cabañas en San José del Maipo, se llaman Nogalia. Federico, te vuelvo a felicitar porque el lugar que elegiste para terminar ésta travesía fue INCREÍBLE. Yiyo y su gente te atienden a cuerpo de rey. Gracias a la gente de Nogalia. Y Los Andes: un lugar que emociona hasta las lágrimas, que por momentos te hace dudar y por momentos decís: es lo mejor que hice en mi vida. Que te encontras con toda la energía de la Naturaleza, sus Ríos que bajan con furia dese la cima de la montaña, El Sol que parecería brilla mucho más, Montañas que te hacen sentir muy chiquito y dan mucho respeto y ese silencio infinito que tanto se necesita en algún momento. Y gracias a Joan, Ana, Marcelo y Michel que vinieron con toda su Familia. Y juntos experimentamos este maravilloso viaje. Experiencia fantástica: Sumamente conforme con la experiencia, todo de maravillas. El guía Fabián excelente, muy amable y atento, sin por eso destacarse como experto en el terreno y en el rol de conducir las caminatas. Y también en la conducción del vehículo, impecable, muy precavido, y al mismo tiempo dando información de nuestro interés sobre la historia, la geografía, etc, del trayecto. En inglés y en español. Destacable!!!. El servicio del campamento de Confluencia de la empresa Grajales me sorprendió gratamente con su calidad . No esperaba tal nivel!!!!. Sumamente conforme!!!!.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome day trek from Mendoza to the Confluencia base camp in Aconcagua national Park. The road trip and the scenery at Aconcagua are unique and breathtaking. Matias is an excellent guide. It was a pleasure spending the day with him and getting to know more about the region, mountain expeditions and Argentina in general. I totally recommend this activity, to have a day away from wine tours and be more sporty.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommended based on a 3 day/2 night trek up Cerro Penitentes (4,400 M) as preparation for Aconcagua. The office was very responsive and helpful in setting up a trek that would meet my special needs — as much time at altitude as possible — and accommodated my unusual request to meet the Mendoza based guide in Penitentes since I was coming up from Chile. The guide, Fabian, met me in a Penitentes Refugio and did a superlative job all the way through. He was good company in the Refugio, safe and knowledgeable on the mountain, a good cook, and very pleasant to be with. We had a successful summit bid and an overall comfortable good time the whole way through. At all times I felt safe, listened to and well taken care of. Highly recommend Andes Vertical and its stable of guides to handle anyone’s specific request in the mountains near Mendoza.

Experiencia fantástica: Fabian is a brilliant trekking guide! We opted for the 1 day hike to Mount Aconcagua base camp from horcones to confluencia and weren’t disappointed. Fabian picked us up promptly from our accommodation and was a great host, with good music, humour and insightful local knowledge of the mountain ranges and surrounding areas. He ensured we were all safe throughout the trek, managing us all as a group to ensure we completed it together and took adequate breaks to hydrate and put on suncream etc. This was our first time trekking at high altitude (above 2000m) so Fabi provided reassurance where necessary for this aspect and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. It was a wonderful day out that we would definitely do again thanks to Fabian’s enthusiasm and passion ! Muchas gracias Fabian, from Louise and Ollie

Experiencia fantástica: Ich habe eine Cross-Country Bike Tour mit Mauricio Calderón gemacht. Er war ein fantastischer Guide und gleichzeitig toller Dude der mir das beste Erlebnis in meinem Argentinien Urlaub bereitet hat. Ich hatte tolle Unterhaltungen mit ihm, er hat anspruchsvolle aber für mich perfekte Tracks gewählt und immer nach mir geschaut. Dafür hatte ich ein extrem gutes fully Mountainbike mit Tubeless Reifen. Ein so schön fahrendes Bike bin ich noch nie vorher gefahren. Danach waren wir noch bei einem lokal Resteraunt und hatten Empanadas und Bier. Sollte ich irgendwann mal wieder in Mendoza sein werde ich wieder eine Tour bei ihm buchen. Wahrscheinlich auch eine Wanderung über mehrere Tage.

She took our group, consisting of three 30 somethings and me, a 70 something, skillfully up and down a rocky, streamy, trail and gave us a delicious and thoughtful Xmas day surprise cake and candies that she spread out on a little placemat at the top. She was attentive, knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. We all had an amazing time.

Experiencia fantástica: My friend and I had an amazing time riding horses in the most beautiful place! We were picked up at our hotel, right on time. We drove for about an hour and a half to get to the place of the gaucho. Both of us had no experience riding horses. Our guide helped us really well. The mountains were amazing and we had a great lunch! We made lots of photos, and also got photos that our guide made (these were later send to us). This experience is incredible and would recommend everyone to book and go!

The service was excellent as well, always quick to respond and looking after every detail. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their climbing skills or have a first experience with a great instructor!

Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I booked the Uco Valley hike and were incredibly happy with the experience. Our guide, Luli, was friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. The landscapes were beautiful - mountains, valleys, scrambled rock, desert brush... absolutely gorgeous. We even saw horses and cows hanging about. I agree with their assessment that this is a medium difficulty hike. I do not recommend wearing shorts or leggings - you hike through desert plants and they WILL poke you lol. Bring lots of sunscreen - we applied three times throughout the hike and still got a little burned. Overall an amazing experience and we would highly recommend it to others.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I completed the Cordon del Plata hiking tour on October 18, with Agustin as our guide. The hike was beyond spectacular, and Agustin is a phenomenal guide and companion. His deep knowledge about mountaineering and the Andes, including its flora and fauna, its geography and its history, plus his friendliness and calm demeanor made for an incredibly enjoyable day. Reaching the Lomas Blancas summit at just over 12,000 feet (almost 3,700 Mts), after 3.5 hrs of hiking was exhilarating. On the way we saw wild guanacos and several majestic Condors. The hike down (through a different route) added diversity and was no less intense or exciting. The hike was an unforgettable experience, and a perfect break for anyone visiting Mendoza for its world class wineries and food. We highly recommend Andes Vertical, and praise Agustin for his guidance and professionalism. Thank You!!

Experiencia fantástica: Hice una ruta por las montañas de Mendoza y me gustó mucho la forma que dieron las instrucciones y también porque se adaptaron allí las condiciones de nuestro grupo. La parte negativa, es que hasta la misma mañana que nos vinieron a buscar al hotel no sabíamos, y NADIE nos había comunicado, que la ruta de aproximación al Aconcagua estaba cerrada y solo había opción de una ruta alternativa a otra montaña, que fue la que hicimos. En fin, es algo difícil de asimilar en el momento, viajar hasta Mendoza con la intención de hacer esa ruta específicamente, y enterarte así fue un poco decepcionante.

Experiencia fantástica: I hired Andes vertical for a group that came to Argentina to study tango but also wanted to experience Argentina outside of Buenos Aires. This was an older clientele than is typical for such an adventure and they really enjoyed it. The company was very good about adjusting the hike to match the energy level and mobility of the group. All 10 people were delighted with the experience! I would absolutely use them again.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent tour operator with excellent guides. We did a one day trek in the Cordon del Plata and a one day horseback riding with two children. Both were fantastic experiences. They are a bit on the pricey side but worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: Hicimos en invierno un trekking en el parque Aconcagua con ida y vuelta en el día. La guía y atención fueron muy amables y atentos a todas las dudas. Informaron con claridad sobre los cuidados y requisitos. Hermosa experiencia, nos queda pendiente hacer el parque en verano y seguramente lo haremos con la misma agencia. La guía nos sacó un montón de fotos y nos las pasó para tener de recuerdo. Recomendamos hacerlo con guías experimentadas por todo lo aprendido .

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent one day hike. The guide Bernardo was not only knowledgeable and flexible but also very fun company. We enjoyed our one day hike, so if you don't have a lot of time on Mendoza we recommend it! It's an appropriate level for a shorter hike with great views. We saw guanacos on the way up the mountain and condors on top of the Lomas Blancas peak.

Experiencia fantástica: Hicimos con mi familia el trekking Aconcagua hasta Confluencia con Tim y Nehuen. nuestros guías, nos acompañaron y motivaron todo el tiempo, siempre con seguridad y certeza y sobretodo buena onda!!! Totalmente recomendable, Vale mucho la pena.

Experiencia negativa: I cannot judge the actual mountain guiding of these folks, but the customer service was horrendously bad. They tried to charge me a bloated fee for their tour, me being a foreigner, insisting that foreign credit cards cannot use a rate close to blue dollar (which since Jan 2023, they in fact can). I was trying to book a tour, but I had to basically pull the information from them little by little, and ended up not booking firstly because of the bad service attitude and secondly because of the weird comments around pricing. It was all very strange. Hope they work on their service.

Experiencia fantástica: Did a day hike in March 2023 to the Confluencia base camp at Aconcagua, our guide picked us up exactly on time, he was very personable and was great at making sure we adjusted to the altitude on our way up, the scenery is breathtaking. I would definitely use Andes Vertical for future hikes!!
