Experiencia negativa: Worst expedition company I have ever dealt with. I passed the medical checks with doctors, but the guides 'deemed' I was medically unfit to continue up the mountain. $5k+ lost and had to return home early. Travel insurance didn't cover any losses, and Inka stopped responding to emails after starting to say they would help with a partial refund.

Everything was perfect thanks to the professionalism, kindness and advice of the guides (Iván, Giorgio, Nacho) throughout the ascent. I was also lucky to come across an extraordinary group A big positive point also for the food and the team at the base camp is truly extraordinary... Barbecue every Sunday that you will remember! Good to know: do not neglect the essential preparation before the ascent in order to avoid any disappointment once there and above all trust your guides!

Experiencia negativa: I feel I had a bad experience under Inka Expeditions... I am profoundly deaf but I'm able to communicate through lip reading social media etc.. however, I feel the company on the whole have been very discriminative towards me...I feel the discrimination act hasn't been adhered to... there was very little explanation about what was happening.....There were 3 guides 2 of the guides had very poor leadership skills... I feel I was very poorly treated ...I was suddenly dropped from the company told I had to pay for a helicopter with no money.Told I couldn't walk down the mountain, when another person did walk, I was told I couldn't use a mule, told I could go no further up the mountain. I have paid a lot of money for this holiday...and for 9 days I was left without accommodation or contact from a medic...I could have died for all they cared... I will never use Inka Expeditions ever again and I do not recommend the company for anything...please do not book, they are only interestedin asking for extra money for everything. One positive, the food was great...unfortunately the guides have no idea or respect diverse people

We did the Confluencia trek and Marcela was our guide, and we were so lucky because she was really smart, funny, knowledgeable, attentive, and made the whole trek a wonderful experience that we truly enjoyed from beginning to end. So people in our group were not as experienced and got a bit tired or found it a bit more difficult than others and Marce took really good care of them and encouraged them till the end. Thanks, Inka team, we can’t wait for our next trek with you! This company is very well equipped and will treat you like family.

Un gran ejemplo para quienes vienen a disfrutar de nuestra cordillera! Con mucho gusto les detallo cómo fue la situación...el personal que manejaba y acompañaba la camioneta arrojó tapas de cerveza y otros residuos mientras salían a la ruta internacional N° 7. Varias fuimos las personas que los vimos. Cuando les llamamos la atención,frenaron la camioneta en el medio de la ruta y abrieron la puerta como signo de prepotencia. Acaso se creen los dueños de la montaña? Automáticamente llamé a vuestro número de teléfono pero nadie atendió...

Experiencia negativa: This company is truly awful. We stopped by their place at the Plaza de Mulas camp for a coffee because they have a proper coffee machine. The lady at the counter convinced us to go for a double espresso, but what we got was a watered-down French press coffee at a steep price. It seems like they're trying to squeeze every penny out of you at every turn. I don’t even want to imagine what their tours are like, but I’m sure you can find something much better than this.

Experiencia fantástica: We participated on a 3 days trip to see the view point Plaza Francia which is a BEAUTIFUL view point of Aconcagua with INKA EXPEDITION/company. Our trip was VERY WELL ORGANIZED. I got an e-mail from our assistant (Hilda) immediately after booking the trip. Hilda was very nice and prepared for us all necessary documents in advance. We visited the office the day after the booking and only signed mandatory documents. Hilda was very helpful and since there were terrible landslides on our way to the meeting point, she helped us a lot, she was willing to reply to some of my messages at midnight, she was really very flexible, kind and nice, many thanks for that! :-) The first day of our trip we met in Los Penintentes in front of the Inka's base. Our two guides, Sylvia and Lula, were so nice, gave us a BIG SANDWICH, cookies atc. and also INFO about the next steps of our trip. Luckily, the weather was amazing. After reaching the base for this day, the Confluenzia camp where we spent the night, an unexpectedly DELICIOUS SNACKS were waiting for us - very nice fruit, chick peas, cheese, ham, homemade lemonade. Everything was very delicious :-) Imagine, the mulas had to bring all of those meals on their own this high (3 400 meters above sea level). The camp was very nice, CLEAN, we had also a private toilet and shower for our group (7 persons), the HOT water was AVAILABLE. The food was included and I was so surprised, how DELICIOUS everything tasted - the dinner was a three course menu (a soup, main course and dessert), a glass of wine (maybe more) included. You could ask for more food and drinks and nothing was problem. Both of our dinner menus were very rich. The same for lunch - we could make a snack by ourselves and could choose a piece of cheese, ham, mashrooms, chicken atc. The second trip was also very amazing, the ladies (our guides Sylvia and Lula) were very nice and taking care for us. However, a misunderstanding has happened. The ladies with Hilda and the boss of the company were very nice, helpful, explained every detail to us, we could ask for their help every time. Everything was explained and absolutely understandable. THE INKA COMPANY IS VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH RESPONSIBLE PERSONNEL, MANY THANKS FOR THAT!!! :-) THE PERSONNEL IN INKA'S COMPANY (THE BOSS, OUR GUIDES, HILDA, ALSO THE COOKS AND EVERYONE) WAS REALLY VERY NICE, THEY HELPED US A LOT WITH THE ORGANIZATION, THE SMOOTH PROCESS OF THE TRIP AND EVEN IN CASE OF MISUNDERSTANDING WERE ABLE TO FACE THE PROBLEM HEAD ON. Experiencia fantástica: I booked a mule to climb Aconcagua with my husband in January. From the very first email, inka have been absolutely amazing. The service we received was fantastic but what stood out the most was the people across the entire team. From Micaela in the Mendoza office to all the team all the way up the mountain. They were always so nice, kind and helpful - way above and beyond the service we expected. Special shout out to the team at mulas who came running for me when they heard I’d fallen and hit my head. And to Sophie who looked after my delirious self until I got evacuated. I couldn’t be more grateful to them. But I also couldn’t recommend their services enough. If you are looking just to book a mule or logistics package - book Inka!

Experiencia fantástica: Desde el 22/11 al 24/11 llevé a cabo con la empresa el trekking a Plaza Francia. Desde el día que me comuniqué por aquí con Micaela Burzaco hasta que salí del parque con mi guía Hugo Asensio, me sentí acompañado, asesorado permanentemente y atendido en los mas mínimos detalles. Es un empresa muy seria, super recomendable. La atención en el campamento Confluencia no pudo ser mejor, el servicio de comidas es de un nivel superlativo, Lucas, el chef, es de primera y siempre está consultando sobre el menú. Si alguien por cualquier motivo no quiere lo que tiene preparado cocina el plato que desee el clientes. La carpa que me asignaron era casi nueva. El trek es exigente pero vale la pena por el entorno magnífico de las montañas del parque. Habría muchas mas cosas que decir pero creo que como conclusión debo ratificar que Inka es una empresa con gente muy capacitada, seria y responsable en todo lo que ofrece. Volveré por otro trek o quizás una ascensión. Abrazos Inka.

Experiencia negativa: I Had a very bad experience when Inka ran out of guides during our summit push. When one customer had to descend at 21000 ft. a guide had to descend with him leaving one guide for 5 customers. Their pledge is to have a 4 to 1 ratio which is the worst in the industry. As a result of the lack of guides they chose me to also descend. It could of been anyone. Their method was to verbally abuse me , maintain false claims, and basically force me down . You want focus on a guiding company that has a bettor guide ratio so this does not happen to you. To cover their behind they will say anything to dispute this but facts are facts and can be substantiated with my fellow climbers .

Experiencia fantástica: I did the Mt Bonete Trekking with Inka in February 2023. From the communication with Daniela in the beginning to the trip itself, everything was very smooth and professional. I had an injury on my foot while training for the trip and Daniela was very accommodating and flexible with me helping me change my itinerary and plan. The guides Emanuel and Paula did a great job of taking care of the group. Emanuel taught us how to come down the mountain safely on very slippery pebbles. The food was very good, the best I’ve had on any such trips. I only did the trek and did not summit, but 4 people in my group out of 10 who attempted ended up summitting. Overall, a very good experience and highly recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Inka Expediciones because I decided to climb Aconcagua in a short time (5 days) and I needed some services to be fast and sure about the logistics. All the staff from Inka was great, both at the office and on the mountain. In only few hours I got my summit permit and the day after I was drove to Puente del Inca for starting the ascent. At base camp I had great showers and food. If i need an agency for some climbings in the future I'll ask them first!

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed by this agency, main goal was the summit and the guide decided to climb on the wrong day which happens to be the worst that the whole attempts days , he did not even consider any other attempt day , happened also that other people successfully climbed the summit two days after us, on a day which was part of our program ! We paid too much and come from far to climb this and we expect the agency and guide consider this effort and energy and do their best for a successful climbing ! Experiencia fantástica: I used INKA for logistics only while solo climbing Aconcagua. The price was right and they made everything incredibly easy. They understand that plans change with weather, etc. and are always able to adjust plans to make it work. All of their staff in Mendoza and on the mountain are kind, helpful, and professional. The food is plentiful and amazing too! They had no problem accommodating my allergy.

Experiencia positiva: My experience with Inka was quite mixed. If you are a fully paying customer, Inka is a great company with great service and really helpful staff. But as soon, as you are not paying the horrendous prices anymore, you get a tent somewhere behind the toilets and you questions are ignored or it takes ages until somebody takes care about them. Also the pricing is quite questionable.. a lunch box costs 35$, a greate ham- and cheese sandwhich with a caffee costs 20$ and a chesses and sausage plate with a bottle of wine is 40$. And if someone offers you a service and says "..xxx has a cooperation with Inka.." you should be careful, because that means that you will pay atleast two times the normal price.

Experiencia negativa: Do NOT use Inka Expeditions for Aconcagua! NOT if the summit is your first priority! You are warned! Our summit attempt failed miserably thanks to the guides (Martin S. and co). We were not given a chance to use the two spare days that are in the itinerary, and while other expeditions successfully summited Aconcagua, we sat in Mendoza - one day ahead of schedule because of guide incompetence, laciness, company policy, or God knows why. No serious guide or agency send clients who have paid USD 4000++ off the mountain when there is indeed a perfect summit window coming up! Do not take the chance of losing you money, but rather use a company that put the clients first. Yes, you might perhaps pay a little more, but it WILL be worth it - the alternative is losing (aka not summiting) the 4000+ USD you are going to pay for the expedition! Yes, Inka Expeditions is a big company, yes, they are a local company, but NO, that does not mean that they will go above and beyond to put you on the summit! Contact me if you need more details! BUT if you do make that BAD choice of using Inka Expeditions, be aware of this: You can pay the PARK FEE in Pesos on-site in the office of Inka! If you do pay in USD on-site or in advance, you will get the official rate, not the blue rate, meaning that if you can get Pesos at the blue rate you will, with the current rates, save about 50% on the park fee! Inka does not tell you this! (one of many red flags btw)! It is not a pleasant feeling to start your trip knowing that you just payed a lot more than you actually had to. The park fee is not cheap!

I need to say that during the reservation process that company has been incredible. Clear and quick answers, always trying to help. They are very professional. Experiencia fantástica: La mejor empresa para ir al Cerro Aconcagua

Experiencia negativa: Unsere Meinung ist, dass dieser Betrieb absolut zu vermeiden ist. Leider wurden 2 Mitglieder im Base camp von der Höhenkrankheit eingeholt. Die Guides waren informiert und ignorierten die Tatsache erfolgreich. Der eine Teilnehmer wurde einen Tag später mit einer Blutsauerstoff-Sättigung von 65% not-evakuiert. Die 2te Teilnehmerin wurde trotz 5 von 6 Symptomen der Höhenkrankheit, erst nach einem Zusammenbruch evakuiert. Dies unter lautem Protest des Haupt-guides. Wobei anzumerken ist, dass 2Tage später in Mendoza noch Wasser in der Lunge festzustellen war. Attest vorhanden. Evakuieren bedeutet einen 10minutigen Hubschrauberflug zum Anfang des Tales. Danach stopt jegliche medizinische oder andere Unterstützung durch diesen Anbieter. Eine Beschwerde wurde damit beantwortet, dass dies mit dem Guide A.P. sofort nach seiner Rückkehr behandelt wird, und wir umgehend benachrichtigt werden. 6 Wochen später war die Antwort, dass sie leider mit dem Guide nicht sprechen konnten, da dieser wieder auf einer Expetition sei.

Experiencia fantástica: Prestations au top ! J'ai eu recours aux services d'inka Expediciones pour une expé autonome en février 2020. Nous étions 3 et avons utilisés un package de services logistiques : transferts, portage des sacs par mules, hébergement et repas aux camps Confluencia et Plaza de Mulas. Prestations aux top, tout est très bien rodé. Les membres d'Inka Expediciones sont très sympas, professionnels et flexibles. Hébergements très corrects aux camps, repas copieux, variés et d'excellente qualité. Il y a même un grand barbecue tous les dimanches soirs ! Donc très bon rapport qualité/prix (j'ai fait pas mal d'autres expés, j'ai de quoi comparer !), je recommande vivement cette agence ! Merci encore ! F

Experiencia fantástica: We have to say a big thank you to Inka ! I have tried online from Europe, with other companies , which didn't work out , so we decided to fly to Argentina and look in Mendoza , for a proper company. We got it recommended from my hotel , and I can say we made it , within our time schedule , Season just started at 15th November ,and got the permit with our guide Felipe which helped us(it must be paid in cash). Next day we could start to go to Penitentes , prepare the luguage for the mules,and had fantastic food and a good sleep. Next day we went to Entrance of the Park and showed the paper and were ready to go to approach Aconcagua. All guidance and taking care of Inka was excellent . I can highly recommended to go with Inka .

Experiencia negativa: Its a very big company. Maybe biggest. But theres no need to use this company. And the score seems strangely high rated. They may do their job but they dont provide delicate or kind service. And had several troubles while using this company. They didn't offer me partner hotel for sleeping and lady in the office was too smart that she was saying what she wants say and was full of TMI that i couldnt even communicate. And the charge of base camp lady wasn't doing for the needs for customer and acted like a boss in front of customer. And didn't inform about mountatin regulation properly. And when you go by one person for meal they will forget about you so that you have to go kitchen to bring your food rather than to be served.

Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I summited Aconcagua on January 5th 2019. It was one of two windows in a 30 day period that folks could summit the mountain. The most important factor in whether or not you summit, will be the weather. The second most important factor will be if you are aligned with an outfitter. Inka was absolutely amazing. I can’t remember another time during my travels or while using a service in another country where every person in a large tourism organization was spectacular. First, if you are debating using an outfitter, let me answer that debate for you! Sign up with the mule service with Inka, at the very least. All climbers on the normal route must haul their gear 10 miles and 4K vertical feet from the park entrance to base camp (Mulas). There is no reason to haul the gear yourself. More importantly, when you hire mules through Inka, they give you access to their restrooms, drinking water, and hot water (for rehydrating food or for whatever you need) at Confluencia and Base Camp. This reduces the amount of fuel you have to bring and the trash/human waste you have to carry. It saves you time and stress and feels like a luxury. Furthermore, even if you only hire them for mules, Inka guides and staff will always be there to answer any questions you have on the mountain, relaying vital information on weather conditions, routes, appropriately staking down your tent, etc. They have every service from using Mules to offering meals every day to guides; you can add on whatever you like and they will not pressure you into adding more or less. I can’t stress enough how wonderful my experience with Inka was. Carolina, who helps manage the office in Mendoza, coordinated everything and responded to all e-mail questions within one day. She helped us select the services we needed. In addition to mules, we paid them for a half a day’s help acquiring our permits, which in hindsight was extremely helpful as the offices are all over town and the effort is time consuming. Rodrigo helped us acquire our permits and drove us around Mendoza to acquire additional provisions (fuel and food). Pocho, helped us correctly organize our loads and made recommendations on what we should take to Confluencia versus send on the mules to Mulas, was also amazing. When we arrived at Confluencia, John/Sean was there to great us and show us around camp. We even received a welcome snack. Veronica assisted us at base camp and greeted us warmly and inquired about our needs/concerns every day. We met Martin at Nido, who gave us pizza he was cooking for himself and gave us weather updates from base camp. Every time we passed Martin on the trail, we were greeted with a booming “Hola, Robert!” The experience with Inka was absolutely wonderful. I am happy to respond to any questions folks have, please feel free to personally message me. I won’t be as responsive as Inka is, but if you want to confirm this review is legit or ask any other logistical questions, I am happy to provide help. I have never experienced a travel company so welcoming, generous, and committed to our success. They never tried to up-sell their services (however after watching the ribs’ roast at base camp, I wished we had bought some of their meals!). We couldn’t have summited without Inka.

Experiencia fantástica: I used Inka in January 2017 for my Aconcagua climb and will use them again later this year, as I am planning to summit again but via a different route. They provided a faultless service. Without them a solo climb up Aconcagua would be very, very difficult to organise. I don't speak any Spanish but that was ok as Inka took care of just about everything. Top company, one day all Tour Operators will be as good as Inka.
